We are offering a deluxe 6-disc box set released as the '40th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION' of the British beat group The Hollies, who were active as a band for 40 years from the 1960s to the 1990s. It is full of color images that carefully record the songs and data released up to that point. It also includes all the songs from the 1976 live LP, which had not been reissued for a long time (except in the Netherlands). I don't know in detail whether a domestic version was released, but it was received by TOWER RECORDS at the time of release and has a sticker on the back that says 'MADE IN HOLLAND'. (I only listened to the unreleased takes) It is almost unused.

'The Hollies have finally arrived, celebrating their 40th anniversary since their debut, having overcome Alan Clarke's retirement (in 1999) and welcoming Carl Wayne (formerly of The Move). It's a deluxe edition with 6 CDs (136 songs), but considering the group's 40-year history, this volume is at least necessary. Discs [1]-[5] contain 116 tracks, selected from singles, EPs, albums, unreleased tracks, and special editions, in roughly the order they were recorded, while disc [6] is a collection of live takes, mainly from "Hollies Live Hits" (1976), and the 58-page photo-filled booklet contains the band's history, track data, discography, sessionography, etc. Some may be disappointed that the majority of the 60s hits (about 20!), including the chart-topping single "I'm Alive" (1965), are only live versions, while the rare tracks are modest, but this unbiased selection is appropriate for the purpose of looking back on the group's career and conveying its appeal (the hits have been compiled into the recently released "Greatest Hits," and many of the rare tracks from the 60s that were not included in this box will be added to the original albums from the same period, which will soon be reissued in Japan). In fact, on discs [1] and [6], you can enjoy the tight ensemble that made them a first-class beat group along with their trademark vocal harmonies, while discs [2][3][4], which are mostly album tracks, fully convey the individual members' personalities and their often underrated talent for songwriting. Six tracks, [1]⑪(1964), [1]⑬⑭⑮(1965), [2](1968), and [5]④(1979), are released for the first time in this box set, and the live recordings from December 1966, [6]①②③, are also released officially for the first time, so they are definitely tracks that fans should not miss. [6]②, which incorporates "Daydream" and "My Generation", is particularly wonderful. 』

SIDE-6, ⑤ to ⑲, are live recordings of a New Zealand performance that was released under the title [Hollies Live Hits] during the record era, but this is the first CD release since the Dutch version in 1991. When compared to that, the volume and sound quality have improved dramatically, and the feeling of ``playing on a distant stage?'' from the record era has disappeared, and you can finally hear the original sound of the Hollies in 1976.
It has been carefully stored, and the record surface is clean, but it has been stored for a long time, so please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive about such things. No claims or returns please. We will do our best to ship quickly.
