状態：目立たないですが、ローマ側の一体の馬の耳が少し欠けています
素朴な色合いのローマ軍。王様ですら簡素な衣装をまとっていますが、静かな知恵とリーダーシップを湛えています。王妃もまた、慎み深くも毅然とした態度で、王を支えています。また、通常は学識と知恵の象徴とされるローマ司教ですが、このセットでは隊長のような風格を漂わせ、戦う覚悟ができているように見えます。騎士は兵士と騎馬が融合したドラマチックな組み合わせで戦闘部隊を形成しています。一方、歩兵は典型的なローマ兵の衣装をまとい、国王と国を守る態勢を整えています。ルークはこの威圧的な軍隊を構成するそびえ立つ要塞となっています。ギリシャ王族もまた、伝統的なギリシャの衣装をシンプルにまとっていますが、静かな威厳と王家の風格を漂わせています。それに比べると、司教は豪華な装飾が施されており、ローマ司教と同様に、宗教的というよりは軍事的な側面が強いようです。白馬に乗ったギリシャ兵は見事な騎士の姿で、ルークは要塞として描かれています。歩兵は剣を抜き、盾を掲げ、王のために戦う準備を整えています。

Condition: Minor Paint Chip Behind Horse’s Ear On One Of The Roman Knights
The Roman Army, dressed in rustic colours, boasts a king that whilst uncharacteristically in simple dress, exudes a quiet wisdom and leadership qualities. His queen too is a demure yet determined and supportive partner.
By comparison the bishop too is uncharacteristically portrayed in this set. Normally a figure of learning and wisdom, the Roman bishop has a centurion air about him and he looks ready to do battle with the best of them. The knight is a dramatic combination of soldier and steed, blended into a single fighting force, whilst the pawns are typically attired Roman soldiers poised to defend their king and country. A towering fortress depicts the rooks that make up this intimidating army.
The Greek Royals too are simply adorned in traditional Greek robes but radiate a quiet majesty and regal air. By comparison the bishop is handsomely adorned and like the Roman bishop seems to have more military edge than a religious one. The Greek soldier upon a white steed makes for a stunning knight and again a fortress plays the rook. The smartly dressed pawns have swords drawn and shields raised ready to fight for their king.
