The face of the writer Jules Verne appears in the upper right-hand corner of the coin. His first and last name "JULES VERNE" is written next to his face along the scroll. At top left, the means of transport used in the extraordinary voyages novels are visible: a hot-air balloon in a storm, a rocket in the stars arriving in the orbit of the Moon and a submarine avoiding a giant octopus. At the bottom of the coin is the outline of the Picardie region, with the letters "RF" for Rpublique Franaise above it. Along the scroll is the name of the region "PICARDIE".

「八十日間世界一周」「海底二万里」の作者で、フランスを代表する小説家、SF小説の父とも呼ばれるジュール・ベルヌ(1828-1905)をモチーフにしたコインです。
※このコインはフランスの地域をモチーフにしたシリーズの一枚でピカルディ地域をテーマにしており、ピカルディはジュール・ベルヌの家があったことで有名です
