糸ヨレのメカニズムを徹底的に追求し、大口径形状に仕上げられたパワーローラー。大口径とすることで、ラインを折り曲げる角度を広くとり、安定した糸ヨレ軽減効果を発揮します。また、より軽い回転で滑らかに巻き取れるため、ライントラブルが激減。シマノ独自の3D解析技術によりリールの脚の前後で重量配分を均等にしました。キャストとリーリングの際のバランスがよくなり、手元にくる慣性モーメントが大幅に減少。すべてのボールベアリングに、新設計のシールドタイプS A-RBを採用しました。業界初の「表面改質」により、高耐食性金属を表面に高密集化させることでベアリングを保護する「不動態層」を形成し、錆を寄せ付けないA-RB(Anti-Rust Bearing)の側面を防錆素材でシーリング。塩水の浸入を減少させ、ベアリング内部に浸入した塩分の再結晶化による塩ガミを大幅に減少させました。錆びないベアリングと、錆びないシーリングの二重効果で、ソルトウォーターでの使用も快適です。さらに、ハンドルやローラークラッチ部にもシールドを施し、接合部からの塩水浸入を防止しています。
