[Pristine Vintage]
Early Showa Era All-Gold Leaf Small Plates (Set of 5) - Made in Japan
[Product Highlights]
This is a set of five "Meimei-zara" (small serving plates), purchased new in the early Showa era (approx. 1930s). These have been part of a private collection and represent the pinnacle of Japanese craftsmanship from that period.
Design: The surface is lavishly adorned with brilliant gold leaf, while the underside features a deep, lustrous "Tamenuri" (traditional amber-toned lacquer) finish.
Artisanship: The delicate texture of the gold leaf, applied by skilled craftsmen, enhances the elegance of Japanese sweets or fruits.
Occasions: These plates are perfect for formal tea ceremonies, New Year's celebrations, or welcoming important guests with refined hospitality.
